Designed by NPC Grupo Arquitetura, their design for the Escola Senai is designed with the theme of an industrial technical school. Their concept has characteristics that associate concerns with the teaching program and industrial activities, which, while conflicting, complement each other. The land with two fronts has a big difference in level between the main access, and the natural green layer. The deployment focused that situation, and sought to relate with the consolidated landscape, while creating a new dynamics. The difference in level between the entrance and the main building was overcome by a walkway giving continuity between the public space and the floor where most teaching activities are carried out.
The infrastructure concentration led to the creation of galleries in the teaching floors, which will, through the walkway continuity, distribute inputs to enable operation of the school. The annex building follows the existing plateaus, fits into the orchard and sports court, shelters support activities, creates a tilted upper square, an outdoor patio, with bike rack, integrating the upper green area, a woodland with small paths. The construction system favors the prefabrication of concrete structure and façade panels, supplemented by the metal frame of the roof, ramp and stairs.
